Description
The greater sandhill cranes migrate from the northern US to Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge each winter. Bosque holds an annual Festival of the Cranes in November to honor these spectacular cranes. The cranes are well known for their courtship dance, which includes jumps, leaps, spreading of wings, and bows. I was thrilled when I was able to witness the beautiful courtship dance and even more thrilled when I photographed over thirty frames of the dance.
